School is out....YAY!! I think "A" got the best of both worlds this year. He didn't start school until after Labor Day in Colorado. We moved after Christmas so he got an extra 2 weeks off. Then he got out of school a week earlier in Texas then they did in Colorado. I think he was a little bit disappointed. He LOVES school. He is adjusting to summer though. He is having his doubts about going back to school, but that will all change his first day back, especially if he likes his teacher. So, we headed to Pagosa for their last week of school so "A" could see his class-mates there. We participated in "movie day" with is his class. I wish I had a picture of him going back. Words cannot explain how awesome it was to see his old class-mates reaction to him when he walked through the door. He was greeted and hugged and completely surrounded by about 15 kids yelling his name and trying to hug him. It is amazing the impact my little man has on the world. I know that sounds crazy for me to say about a 6 year old, but he is truly loved by any and everyone that meets him and it is an amazing thing to see. Anyway, one of his teachers told me that he was brought up almost daily by different kids. Wow.....I wish I had a picture to share how awesome that moment was. Aside, from the school day we made our rounds with family fast and furious and bada-boom bada-bang the week was over and I don't know how it all happened so fast. The cousin were in bliss though, I think, for the most part and we are all looking forward to seeing them again along with many others that we missed on that trip when we are there in July.
The parade of homes is going on right now. We are hoping for a sale and a few referrals or contracts to build out of the whole deal would also be nice. Zach has been plenty busy with it, but not as busy as he was with it before the parade started. I am happy to have him home more hours. Summer is HOT, SOOOO HOT!!!! I now remember why I am choosing to leave my hubby and go to the mountains for a month. Of-course, Zach will be there some also.
OH, and "C" turned 8 in May. 8! (in case you are wondering I yelled that in my head as I typed it). I still stand in disbelief sometimes of how blessed I am as a mother and wife. God has given many precious, precious gifts in the actual physcial beings in my home and in their personalities and sweet dispositions (yes even "J" though she is a challenge sometimes) and the life they bring. Zach is the perfect mate for me. I tell you I AM BLESSED beyond measure.
All in all I am starting to warm up to Lubbock. Mainly, because a good friend knocked some sense into my thinking. She lives too far away to actually smack me, but her words were words I was meant to hear. Also, I love the summer nights here, you know once you get out of the 102 degree weather during the day and the temperature moves back to the bearable 70s.
Enough blah blah lets see some pictures........
