Recap

Totally missed part of March and all of April!!!!!  So, I will give you a run down of events.

This is what happens when I get warm clothes out of the dryer on a cold April morning.  And, that is what happens when the baby doesn't take a morning nap!!

We went skiing with the family in March.  It was my first time up the mountain to ski in, I think, 9 or  maybe 10 years.  It was SOOO much fun.  Zach and I spent two days skiing with "A" and "C."  It is the first time in probably 13 or 14 years that I got to ski with my dad and brothers (really stirs up memories).  "J"  will start next year and I can't wait.  I love that Darren has made the decision to come up with his kids to teach them and because he and Stana gift tickets to the family that goes, it has also forced the rest of us to get off our bums and be involved and it has been wonderful.  I am so thankful for his push in this area to gather us together.  I can't even put into words how wonderful it is.

Zach and I got to make one game at the state basketball tournament in Golden and it was the game not to miss.  Our girls brought home the gold ball (more like cheesy plaque with a tiny 2 dimensional ball on it......I MEAN WHAT'S UP WITH THAT.....WHERE IS THE GOLD BALL.  Sorry I will get off my rant now.)  BUT, it was the first time the girls program has won state in the history of Pagosa Springs girl's basketball.  They have been runner-up like 3 times I think, last year being one of those years.  Coach Lewis went undefeated last year except for the one loss in the championship game and undefeated this year.  That is a bunch of wins in back to back seasons.  Anyway, it was a nail biter and it was SOOOO much fun to witness.  AND....we got to have more or less two days and one night with only one child.  That was nice also......thanks again Jess and Casey.

"R" got his first haircut and took his first steps.  He had been taking steps here and there and standing up in the middle of the floor etc. but the Sunday before Easter he thought it was time to walk and he has hardly crawled since.  Now if we could just get some teeth in his mouth to go with all these other developments.

I managed to make it to a 40th birthday party, an Easter Sunday meal,  a lunch date with a friend and go dancing with my husband where I got to stay out until almost midnight (gasp....can you believe it), oh, and don't forget jury duty.  I know most people don't enjoy jury duty, but I kind of do, and I almost made the jury this time (only my second) but got dismissed during the actual selection.  So, either life has slowed down (doubt it) or I am doing better making time (maybe).  We almost sold our house but didn't due to loan issues with the buyers.  It was kind of a bummer, but kind of a blessing because the market is going up around here and now we can maybe sell our house for more.  Anyway there is another lady interested if we can ever get connected for her to come look at it.

Baby "R" is the only cousin on the Ketchum side not present.  He decided cuddling with Grammie and sleeping would be more fun!

This was given to us by the Easter bunny via the Fritz family and we ate it in about 5 days!! :)

Sunday afternoons have consisted of egg hunting, fishing, Grammie and Pappy's, visiting Ms. Roxanne, swimming, riding scooters at the park and shooting guns.  The bad thing about all this activity is most of the time I forget my camera, but I got a few shots here and there.
