Timing

So while the rest of the hunting world is getting ready to pack up into the mountains in September and lay down some kind of awesome animal I was giving birth.  Luckily, for me, that was only a two times in a life time event and it was on the same day two years apart, but it does tend to put a damper on birthday parties.  I guess that wasn't good enough because then I had to go and give birth to another child right smack in the middle of basketball state playoffs and spring break.  Once again, only gave birth to that child the one time, but it makes decisions for birthday party vs basketball harder.  OR... birthday party vs ski trip. etc.  My first born was the only well timed birth as far as the hobbies in this family goes.  BUT....sometimes it works out that because of those events more family is in town and the celebration is oh so much more fun with more cousins.  This was the case with my March boy and his birthday this year.  You see we got extra cousins and fun times because of spring break and his birthday falling at the same time.  Baby "R" is growing faster all the time.  His current love is trains and his favorite trains are Thomas trains.  Naturally, he had a train party to celebrate turning 3!

My kids new favorite funny with openning presents is, "Look, you got a box for your birthday, you are so lucky."  ha ha.....I never said that as a kid! 😉

It was an incredible day/month.  I think everyone had a good time.  I know there was plenty of sweets to go around.  The weather wasn't great, but that didn't stop the kids from going out and playing.  This was the beginning of the month along with a tea party that me and "J" went to for my neice's birthday. The middle consisted of getting to see some Colorado family.  Kendra and her daughter got to spend some time with us and we also drove to Panhandle to visit with Adelia and the Panhandle family and even got to see Clyde for a short time before we headed home.  We ended the month just as happy.  My cousin, that was at this party, convinced me to go to a retreat with her.  I did and it was a much needed renewing for me.  I am forever thankful she asked and I said yes.  By the end of the month, the 28th, we baptized my oldest boy.

It is well, with my soul!
