If I could scream and you hear it on here, I totally would!!!! That is what is going on in my head most days. I have a couple more weeks to get over the hump for a couple of months before we start again.
To fill you in.......
My kids, by the way, are doing great. That hand, foot, mouth was awful, but all things come to an end and now we are just dealing with the after stuff which mainly means peeling skin. LOTS AND LOTS of peeling skin. It has been a month and there seems to me no end in sight for the peeling.
We sold our house. YES, we sold our house. It is a great, wonderful, very exciting and sad thing. Our closing date is September 25th and we have been packing and moving this and that a little at a time. Some things go to the storage unit, some things go to the Hromas cabin (our home for the next few months), and some things will head to Texas.
We are moving to Texas at the end of the year. YES, we are moving to Texas!! Zach will be returning to WTAMU in January to learn something new that doesn't envolve wood, nails, etc. He is very excited and hopefully here in a couple of years he will be an engineer or something in the medical field. We are looking forward to the change, but I am also bracing for.....well......the change. Not 100% sure what will happen, but our original plan was for him to get in and out of college as soon as possible. That would mean 25 hour semesters. That also means not seeing very much of him over the next couple of years. We don't have all the details worked out but we will know soon enough.
I am homeschooling "C" this year. Partly because I was going to anyway and partly because of this big move. So far he loves it, but it is one more thing to do in the mist of all this moving. "A" started Kindergarten and LOVES it. He wants to go full day. It is SO DIFFERENT then it was with his older brother. I love that he loves it and I love the excitement he has. I don't think the move will phase him at all or starting in a new school come January. Anyway, I hope it continues to go smoothly for him.
Believe it our not we have had some fun in the middle of all this. We went on a nice hike to Opal Lake before school started. I think it is our first official hike as a family. We have been on short (very short) hikes, but I would have to say this was the first. After about 30 steps, "A" asked me if we were almost there. The sad thing is I felt the same way, but of-course you never let your kids know that. Also "A" and "J" had their birthday. Their birthday was on the first day of school this year, so we had the party the weekend before over labor day weekend.
I think that pretty much sums it up. I know I am not really a regular poster these days, but it may really be a while before I get a chance to post. We won't have much internet service (if any) at the cabin and we are making the move tomorrow.
